Annelies Monseré is a Belgian songwriter. Her basic instruments
are piano and voice, though she also uses cello, guitar, melodica
and glockenspiel. The simplicity of the melodies is not unlike
Empress or Jessica Bailiff, while the sound textures will remind
the listener of Movietone or Tara Jane O'Neil.
Her debut cd 'helder'was released in july 2005 on bluesanct,
the label that also released records by iditarod, drekka, rivulets,
static films, vollmar and low. She also performs in the duo
Zent One and has collaborated
with Drekka, Jessica Bailiff, In Gowan Ring and Toss. She has
performed mesmerizing concerts with the likes of Movietone,Crescent,
Hood, Drekka, Rivulets and Tara Jane O'Neil.

10 years. From the moment they moved in together they
became a big indirect influence on
each others work. In Annelies’ case, this resulted
in the use of more effects and writing guitar-based
songs. Whereas Circle Bros drifted away from being a
guitar-oriented drone entity. Listeners who pay attention
will hear plenty of similarities .
