not sure if it will turn into a tradition or not, but in 2005, we had two houseshows at the morc office, and both were closesly related with the bluesanct label. during the european leg of the 'bluebus mountain tour', drekka and vollmar had a stop at our house. and that turned into a great houseparty at tweede oosterstrat 15, on a relatively warm evening, early november 2005.

first one to do a set was annelies monseré, who joined vollmar and drekka for all their european dates. annelies released her solo cd 'helder' earlier this year on the same bluesanct-label, and did a couple of releases on morc too, being it solo, being it as one half of zent one. though her set consisted almost only of new songs, you'll find 'voices' on this cd: this was a unique chance to have it played by a full band: anneleis on piano and vocals, justin vollmar on melodica and backing vocals, more backing vocals by nathan vollmar and drekka + circle brothers on glockenspiel.

Mariska baars, aka soccer committee, has thusfar only put out a self-released cdr - her debut cd is scheduled for 2006, and more then likely, 'here i go again' will be on that record as well - which makes this one of the records to look most forward to. referencepoints? for carnation and julie doiron should give you a bit of an idea.

Hard to believe, but this is already the fourth morc-release by drekka. and this is michael anderson at his very best: lots of electronics, some guitar parts, used for the more melodic parts, and a huge stress on the vocal part. Here he brings his interpretation of 'bloody heart' - some sort of traditional in the day2-scene, previousely interpreted by k joy, tiltmaster and annelies monseré.

vollmarAt the first houseshow we set up in hilversum, vollmar was just justin vollmar. now he's joined by his brother nathan vollmar. 4-0-5 was the opening track of their set - one of those magnificent short sketchy popsongs, that only vollmar can write.
