--> 18 euro <-- On her first solo lp, Roxane Métayer fully explores the sonic possibilities of the violin, field recordings and folk oriented orchestration and melodies. The violin is often taking the melodic lead, but at the same time serves a drone background, but just as much a percussion instrument. In any case: the focus is definitely on the sound itself. She’s not afraid to use effects, minimal percussion, whistles and the occasional hushed vocal to expand the sonic palette to a maximum effect, resulting in multilayered, semi-improvised and subtle meanderings, gently evolving around a tight core. About the lp the album comes in a lush, full color cover, drawn and designed by Roxane herself. The first run was an edition of 150 copies, and sold out quickly - just like the two following represses. the last one came out oct 2023 - this time on red vinyl, on the occasion of the japanes tour of Roxane. edition of 150 copies.
